I love Alexander Wang’s clothes, shoes, and accessories — and his bubbly personality– just as much as the next girl but the shoes and bags for FW09 were a hit or miss for me. Don’t get me wrong everything was great but some things were just too repetitive for me. On the plus side, just by looking at what I’m seeing I can tell the items can be used for multiple purposes.

Top 5 Hits:

1. I love how some of the items can double as weapons.
2. The buckles on the shoes gave a nice twist.
3. The texture looks so soft on the bags.
4. Snakeskin, which I hope is faux but I highly doubt that it is, is okay with me.
5. I can see myself wearing all of the above items. Some more frequently than others and then some rarely at all.

Top 5 Misses

1. Too much repetition. I can hardly tell some of the bags apart from ones done last season and then some items just look too much like each other from this current collection.
2. Okay Alexander dear, let’s have a heart to heart…even as one of the worlds most girlie girly girls, I have to say that shade of pale pink is just not working well. A nice minty blue would have been better perhaps.
3. Let’s be honest some of these bags are just too common looking.
4. I can tell you have caught onto the fact that some people are getting really tired of sky high platform pumps. Well just because you caught onto it doesn’t mean you have to make some of the ugliest flats I have ever seen on this God given earth!
5. From a girl whose closet consists of mostly black shoes I’d like to know…can you make shoes in another color besides black sometime?

I don’t know about you but I am actually craving for the summer to be over. Isn’t it crazy? When it’s fall or winter you wish it was hot and when it’s summer you wish it was fall or winter all over again! 

I won’t lie to you… one reason is because I am dying to wear some Alexander Wang inspired fashions for the fall. I’m not the kind of girl who can easily jump on the ripped short shorts, harem pants, cut out leggings bandwagon that has seem to taken over this summer. I’d much rather stick to my edgy blazers, black pumps, and whatever else keeps me stylish and inspired for the day.

Soon enough, I’m gonna have to print out this collage I made and hang it by my closet and voila darling– my new inspiration will not stray from my closet and my eyes will stay on the prize!

Top 5 Reasons why I’m inspired by this collection:

1. Loads of black with sporadic bursts of white and plum!
2. Snakeskin, which I hope is faux by the way (even though I know it’s not).
3. The blazer with chains on the part of the shoulders where the cut out is.
4. The white motorcycle jacket just because it looks like an angelic model went to hell and came back with a new attitude.
5. The one sleeved button down shirt just because that’s such a nice twist to a classic!
